F.U.E.L.

F.U.E.L. became my brain child several years ago. It’s about focusing on four areas of your life and doing something within those areas every day. By completing each focus each day, your body will be properly fueled to handle life. Obviously this is not a scientific fact or anything close to that. It is something I have learned throughout my studies and life experience.

F – food

Food is the first category and is exactly what it says. Focusing on making one healthy decision each day: skipping that extra cookie, having a side salad instead of fries, drinking an extra glass of water.

U – understanding

Understanding means to do something that increases your understanding of and relationship with God. For me, this includes reading my Bible and listening to worship music so that I am more in tune with Him throughout my day.

E – exercise

Exercise is self explanatory. Finding something you enjoy is challenging but it is vital to our bodies to keep them moving and ready for whatever God has for us that day.

L – leisure

Leisure means exactly that, doing something that helps you relax and recharge every day. For me, this is crafting or reading. Working is important and we are not called to be lazy beings. But having some time for leisure is also important for our minds and bodies.

So these are the 4 things I am trying to work on every day. There is no scientific evidence that focusing on these will make you a better or healthier person, but I know that incorporating these into my daily life has helped me to feel better and be in a better head space, which benefits me and those around me.
